Dimplex Quartzray heaters work by providing a highly directional beam of radiant heat, rather like the heating effect of the sun. The short wavelength at which energy is emitted means that heat passes through the air far more effectively than from conventional infra red type radiant heaters. Low capital cost - in most cases less than installing conventional heating systems. Low running costs - because only the occupants are heated, not the air space around them. This is by far the most efficient way of heating large volume, high heat loss environments. Silent operation. Instant heat - avoiding the need for expensive pre-heating of intermittently used buildings. High level mounting. Gold lamps and gold finished reflectors (fitted to QXD/G models) provide up to 15% greater heat transmission and less visible glow. Ruby sleeved lamp (QXD model) provides a warm red glow. Models available from 1.5kW to 4.5kW
