DFB is particularly suited to installations where safe, usable hot water is required. Once set, the outlet temperature remains constant and due to the fail-safe nature of the blender, there is no danger of the water being delivered at a higher temperature. Not only is DFB one of the safest water heaters available today, it is also extremely versatile. There is no cold water cistern in DFB - this has been replaced by a float switch and solenoid valve. When a tap is turned on, the solenoid valve allows the float switch to perform the same function as a conventional ball valve. DFB can be mounted within 20mm of the ceiling as there is no cold water cistern to maintain.Water is stored above 60°C. The risk of bacteria in the system is reduced at these higher temperatures.
