	Claudgen QSC1 Softstart Control This QSC1 is specifically designed to control the operation of up to 6 kW of Quartz Heaters. It provides a soft start when initially switching the heaters on, thereby removing the surge normally associated with this type of heater. Cable and switchgear may be selected using the same calculations as for resistive heating loads. This facilitates the use of cheaper and easier to install cable and switchgear. In order to maximise energy savings the Softstart Driver may be used in conjunction with the PIR1 Heating Control. The PIR1 is wired in place of the plate switch. In this situation the heating can only come on when there is a physical presence in the area, for a selectable time period, and only when the temperature falls below a predetermined level. Claudgen PIR1 Energy Saving PIR Heating Control The PIR1 is designed to work with any Consort Claudgen heater up to 3 kW, offering the added benefit of potential energy savings and improved comfort. Once activated from up to 5 metres the controller allows the heater to increase the room temperature to its designated comfort setting of between 19°C to 25°C. If no movement is detected by a predetermined time of between 30 minutes to 3 hours the heater is either switched off or the temperature can be held at a lower background level of between 6°C - 17°C. This class 2 device is capable of switching resistive loads of 13 amps and can be used in conjunction with the Consort Claudgen electronic QSC1 'Quartz Softstart' which is capable of switching resistive loads of 6 kW. 	Claudgen THC1 Touchstat Heating Controller The Claudgen Touchstat heating controller provides manual control of heating. An integral timer can be activated simply by pressing on the touch-plate. Heating will boost to a higher temperature setting, automatically reverting to a lower setback temperature after the set time period. The timer and normal temperature settings are fully adjustable.
