LED BULBS - A REVOLUTION IN LOW ENERGY FIRESLED BULBS - A REVOLUTION IN LOW ENERGY FIRES
Using LED bulbs in fires offers massive running-cost savings over conventional and even compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs.

With these bulbs fitted in the new range of Dimplex LE (Low Energy) fires the total consumption using the Optiflame® effect and no heat is less than 14watts per hour or less than 12% of the energy consumed by two conventional 60 watt bulbs. This equates to a cost of less than £2 per year, (1) whilst giving the equivalent light output of 2 x 60w bulbs. Not only are they much more energy efficient than conventional bulbs, they also last longer than any other light source. These solid-state LED bulbs have no moving parts, no fragile glass shells, and no delicate filaments. They are efficient in that they give off directional light and only generate light in the visible spectrum. There is little ultraviolet light of infra-red radiation and therefore they give off almost no heat. They are not subject to sudden failure or burnout. Consequently the expected life of Dimplex LED bulbs is 100,000 hours or almost 70 years! (2)

KINDER TO THE ENVIRONMENT

Not only do LED bulbs use significantly less energy than conventional bulbs and do not require replacement, they also contain no Mercury unlike most fluorescent bulbs, and have no toxic gasses so are less harmful to the environment. Each Dimplex LE fire also comes complete with a thermostat to provide accurate control of running costs when in heating mode, making these fires the most environmentally friendly on the market.
